Star player Albert Pujols was traded to Leones del Escogido from Gigantes del Cibao, as this newspaper was able to confirm.
Pujols belong to the Gigantes del Cibao and have never played in the Dominican winter football.
Albert Pujols comes from splitting his major league commitments, first with the Los Angeles Angels of Aneheim and then with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The trade was for bowler Edward Paredes and defensive tackle Malaki Mesa, both of whom belonged to the Scarletts family.
