The headquarters of the Science Museum will be in Costanera de Asunción – Breaking News

With a mission to elevate the human spirit through experiences and spaces that inspire and awaken curiosity, MuCi, Paraguay’s first interactive museum, will build its outpost in the country’s capital.

The Asunción Municipal Council confirmed on Wednesday that the majestic museum could be built in the country’s capital, specifically in the San Roque area, in Costanera de Asunción, on land owned by the municipality.

At the beginning of this year, MuCi received an offer from the Municipality of Asunción, delivered via Memorandum No. 003/2023 DGG from the Municipal Council of Ministers to MuCi, where they offered the property, which was accepted by the Board of Directors of the MuCi Foundation, Dean of the Project.

Asuncion will not only have a world-class museum, but it will also be dynamic to the historical center of Asuncion, Paraguay’s tourism and the cultural and entertainment offer of the citizens through their contribution to the construction of the museum.

The space will also be a model in the region and a spearhead for private capital investments, which will be crucial for the deserved and necessary development of Castanera and the capital to its full capacity.

For its part, the Museum of Science (MuCi) remains committed to its determination to democratize learning experiences through science and the dignified and respectful treatment of all Paraguayan citizens, so that we move together to build from where we have the country of our dreams.

Pilot project

This project already had a pilot plan implemented since November last year, locating the TatakuaLab in the Textilia Complex, whose mission was to bring scientific experiences and exhibitions suitable for children, youth and adults.

Likewise, MuCi has organized many free events and sponsored events related to the country’s scientific and cultural contribution.

What is MuCi?

MuCi is Paraguay’s first interactive science museum created with the aim of awakening the love of knowledge to create a better future for the country.

It will be (once its doors open) one of the best interactive science museums in the region, as well as the third in the world with planetarium technology with a curved LED screen.

The TatakuaLab space is a place to prototype, fabricate, experiment, innovate and inspire visitors, demonstrating that everyone can produce the future with their own hands and, essentially, a space for the exhibition to be tested and received by the Paraguayan public. .
