activity
Museums in the Moonlight is an event that takes place every year, organized by the UNLP museum network, and with the support of the Municipality of La Plata. Participating museums open their doors free of charge. They propose various cultural, artistic and scientific activities. Museums are grouped according to their location into different circles proposed to visitors to facilitate the tour.
The network brings together museums from different academic units of the National University of La Plata. Museums welcome schools and the community at large with the mission of communicating the UNLP’s heritage and awakening vocations, especially among the youngest.
Objectives
– Disseminating the cultural heritage of UNLP and the region through its museums as tools for disseminating information and scientific, humanitarian and artistic research within society.
– Promoting joint work and cooperation between museums and other university areas.
– Attracting an unusual audience with a special offer regarding hours and activities.
Why Moonlight Museums?
Because the museum network decided to hold this annual event during the month of November, close to the full moon.
