Shakira wore a stunning gold Dolce & Gabbana dress, sang into a gold-covered microphone, and took center stage to perform “Acróstico.” The heartfelt song, an emotional open letter to his children Milan and Sasha, was nominated for song of the year.
The Colombian began her performance in an enclosed space surrounded by mirrors and celestial lighting. Then she headed to the stage, where she was accompanied by the piano, and then a video was played of her two children singing the beautiful lyrics of the song. Both Milan and Sasha were in attendance and proudly cheered for their mother from their seats.
The simple performance of “Acróstico” followed Shakira’s first win of the night in the Best Pop Song category for her collaboration with Bizarrap, “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53.”
