Medicine recognizes the outgoing dean’s team

The College of Simple Medicine hosted a celebration honoring the center’s outgoing Dean’s team for their work and dedication over the past thirteen years. The President of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), Julián Garde, chaired the event, along with the current dean, Silvia Llorens Folgado.

Thirteen years of work

The lecture hall of the Faculty of Medicine in Al-Basit hosted this morning the honoring ceremony in which His Excellency reiterated his gratitude to the outgoing Decanal team for the work accomplished by its members in these past thirteen years, and granted them for it. Congratulations. “Thank you for everything you have done for this college and this university. Julianne Gard said you know how much I appreciate what you have done, and on a day like today I am happy to be present.”

The Dean of the Centre, Sylvia Lorenz, was responsible for providing a brief remembrance of what these thirteen years (2008/2021) meant, as the outgoing Dean’s team was responsible for running the College.

The team consists of: Professor Joaquin Jordan, Deputy Dean and Degree Coordinator during 2012/2017 and Professor Eduardo Nava, Deputy Dean for Infrastructure (2008/2018). The other members who ran until April 19 are: Francisco Sanchez Sanchez, Academic Secretary, from 2008 to 2021; Juan Ramos Martinez Galán, Deputy Dean of Infrastructure, (2018/2021); Rosario Sabariegos Jareño, Vice Dean of Students from 2016 to 2021; Elena Caminos Benito, Deputy Dean for Quality from 2008 to 2021 and Acting Dean from 2020 to 2021; and Jose Martinez Perez, Dean of the College from 2008 to 2021.

All were awarded a plaque of appreciation for their dedication and work at Albacete Medical School, who appreciated the gesture and were proud of the new team taking the stele, led by Dean Silvia Lorenz.
