YouTube Music is still preparing to replace Google Podcast and has just been updated with a feature that allows you to add podcasts directly from your RSS feed.
At the end of September, Mountain View announced that in 2024 Google Podcast will disappear and will be replaced by YouTube Music, thus becoming a music and podcast streaming application similar to Spotify, which It has already been integrating podcasts into its platform for some time.
Since it became known that YouTube Music will become Big G’s new podcast application, the American company has improved the application with new functions typical of the podcast manager such as automatic downloading of episodes. Well, Google has just taken another step in this sense since then YouTube Music now lets you add any podcast directly from your RSS feed.
YouTube Music has been updated with the ability to add podcasts via RSS
As confirmed by specialized media 9to5Google YouTube Music has started offering an option Add podcasts via RSS feed in both the Android app and web version.
So, To add a podcast to YouTube Music using an RSS feed You just have to follow these simple steps:
- Open the YouTube Music app on your Android mobile phone
- Click on the tab library
- Move the carousel at the top to the left and click on the option Podcasts
- Click on the button Add a podcast Which appears at the bottom right
- Click on the option Add podcasts using RSS feeds
- Finally, paste the RSS feed URL of the podcast in question and click the button Add
When you do this, you will receive a message at the bottom of the app telling you this The podcast you just added will be available very soon After a few minutes you will be able to access all its episodes through the tab Podcasts.
