What does the yellow / green / red light mean on an Amazon Echo?

As you can imagine, these LED lights are messages that our loudspeaker throws at us before any information is sent to us. So let’s go color by color to get it right

Yellow Light on Amazon Echo

If we see that our speakers are showing a slowly blinking yellow bar every few seconds, that means Alexa has a message or notification pending to let us know. This signal will appear, for example, when the package we ordered from Amazon arrives that day.

So, if you want to delete it, just say something like “Alexa, read my pending notifications” or “Alexa, what messages do I have?”

Red Light on Amazon Echo

In the case of the red tape, which can be more striking or inspire a problem, it is something very different from this. If we see that our device’s LED is this color, that means the microphone is muted, so Alexa won’t be able to hear us.
