MIAMI, Florida – In a scene straight out of an action movie, a suspect dangles from a bridge as officers struggle to catch him and keep him from falling into the void. The dramatic incident happened after a high-speed police chase on the northbound Turnpike in Florida.

The man in question was traveling in a white van that attempted to elude police, sparking a high-speed chase that eventually culminated near Northwest 106th Street. In a desperate attempt to escape, the suspect decided to defy gravity and jump off the bridge. However, the authorities rushed to control him and eventually arrested him.

Two others fled with the suspect, including a woman wearing red shorts. She was the front seat passenger of the van and was handcuffed on the side of the highway after the stop. Also, a driver of the vehicle was arrested as part of the tense police operation.

Aerial images taken by helicopter reveal the scale of the situation, with all lanes of the highway closed due to the operation. Dozens of Florida Highway Patrol officers, along with personnel from other law enforcement agencies, went to arrest the three suspects.

According to preliminary versions, the men are believed to have been involved in an assault on a Homestead Police Department officer who allegedly shoplifted. Investigations are ongoing and police are examining various items to determine if they are related to the robbery allegedly carried out by the suspects kilometers away, near the highway.
