Starting today, all employees of the Dominican Republic’s tourism department will be vaccinated against Govt-19, which will guarantee the health of international tourists and continue to strengthen the industry, Tourism Minister David Collado said.
Republican Vice President Raquel Pena at the press conference; Foreign Minister Roberto Alvarez and German Ambassador to Germany Volker Pellet announced that President Louis Abinader had ordered the move.
In addition, Vice President Pena, members of the press and communicators may be vaccinated because they have been informing people from the beginning.
Also, at a press conference at the Ministry of Tourism, officials said that Germany had given its citizens the green light to travel to the Dominican Republic because of the ethics that the Caribbean nation manages against Covit-19.
Germany represents 270,000 tourists a year and 15% of Saman’s tourism, so Collado praised the move by the European country, while Pellet asked that the rules be continued because the decision was a vote of confidence.
Officials pointed out that the country will guarantee in the short term that there will be tourism without Govt.
“Today, again, the Dominican Republic is one step ahead of all other countries in the region, and we continue to be at the forefront of tourism. We guarantee and protect, ”Collado said.
In connection with the warning that this country issued to its citizens that they should not travel to that country, when the Dominican Republic ranked its administration fourth in the Foreign Office and then third, the cases were high.
“What the United States has done is that 80 countries have synchronized with the CDC, and for that reason, we had four in the CDC and three in the Foreign Office, so four people were homosexual, but it did not go to the Dominican Republic, it was 80 countries.” The Minister of Tourism pointed out.
