Dinorah García Romero sworn in at the Academy of Sciences

Santo Domingo. – The President of the Pedro Boveda Institute of Higher Education Studies (ISEEPP), Dr. Dinorah García Romero, was appointed as a full member of the Dominican Republic Academy of Sciences (ACRD) and sworn in by the President of that institution, Luis Cheker Ortiz.

García was invested after giving the entrance speech titled “Attitude to Socio-educational Change and Pedagogical Practice of Teachers 06-05 of 06 Regional Education in La Vega and 03 10 of Regional Education 10, in Santo Domingo”.

The ceremony, which was held at ACRD headquarters, in the colonial district, was attended by family members and friends of Dr. Garcia and members and directors of the Academy.

Dr. Luis Cheker Ortiz gave a welcoming speech and said that accepting such a distinguished researcher is an honor for the Academy.

Dr. Radhames Mejia, ACRD Education Committee Coordinator, read the profile of Garcia, born in Cotoi, Sanchez Ramirez County.

The Distinguished Professional is a member of the Board of Directors of the Dominican Association of Universities (ADOU) and belongs to the Special Committee for Comprehensive Teacher Training, Quality and Equity Policy, established by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCYT).

He completed his undergraduate studies at Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PCMM), with two degrees in Education and Guidance.

He completed his PhD studies in Educational Psychology and Human Development with a joint degree from the Universities of Valencia, Spain and the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD).

Completed a master’s degree in higher education from the Technological Institute of Santo Domingo (INTEC); in Education Management, in PCMM and Psychology of Education and Human Development, with degrees from the Universities of Valencia and UASD.

He held important administrative positions in public and private educational institutions.
