PREPA ensures that it stabilizes the generation

The Electric Power Authority (PREPA) announced this afternoon that the generation capacity will increase in the next few hours.

This is thanks to the fact that “Unit 1 at the Aguirre plant was synchronized with the island’s electrical system, making the system one of the most essential units”.

Yesterday, LUMA Energy reported that “due to limited generation capacity”, thousands of customers could experience outages in the afternoon and evening.

According to PREPA data, as of 6:00 p.m. Friday, there are 24,370 subscribers without electricity.
