Police say four shots fired, suspect dead in Walmart shooting

(CNN) — On Monday night, four people were injured when a gunman opened fire at a Walmart near Dayton, Ohio.

The suspect, described only as a man, entered the store around 8:35 p.m. and shot and killed four people, police said. Beavercreek Police . He died of an apparent gunshot wound, according to the department.

“We are heartbroken by what happened at our Beavercreek, Ohio store,” a Walmart spokesperson said in a statement to CNN. “This remains a developing situation and we are working closely with investigators.”
