Foxconn invests $500 million in Chihuahua; Juarez is a key point

Mexico City– The company said in a statement that manufacturing company Foxconn, Apple’s main supplier, has invested $500 million in the state of Chihuahua.

The investment arises in response to the nearby relocation process occurring in the country, where work has begun to relocate two new factories in Ciudad Juárez, in addition to the already existing one at the San Jeronimo-Santa Teresa intersection in the state.

He noted that these two plants, which will reach three plants in Chihuahua, will generate 5,000 jobs, more than half of which are of high value to the border.

The company stated that it announced, in cooperation with the government of the state of Chihuahua, the establishment of an association aimed at promoting talent training, promoting technology and promoting sustainable energy development.

“Foxconn is committed to nurturing a pool of talent equipped with cutting-edge skills to meet the ever-evolving demands of the automotive and information and communication technology (ICT) industries.

“In collaboration with the state, we aim to develop training programs and initiatives to empower the workforce and position Chihuahua as an innovation-driven manufacturing hub,” he explained.

Hon Hai Technology Group, better known as Foxconn, was founded in 1974 in Taiwan; It is the world’s largest electronics manufacturer and leading provider of technology solutions.
