(CNN in Spanish) — Inter Miami travels to El Salvador on Thursday for a rare match against the El Salvador national team, at the start of a pre-season tour of various locations around the world.
Inter Miami arrives into 2024 with the momentum of Lionel Messi – the new Ballon d'Or and FIFA Best of the Year winner – that led them to lift the League Cup last August, and a revamped squad that now includes Luis Suarez. The Uruguayan joins former members of Barcelona who are accompanying Messi: Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.
The match against the El Salvador national team, whose stars include Alex Roldan, the Seattle Sounders player, and Eric Zavaleta, the Los Angeles Galaxy player, the American League player, seeks to prepare the South Florida Stars team for new challenges this season. Savior, 78 in the rating FIFA, did not achieve any victory in 2023.
