Due to the uncertainty and multiple comments generated by the sound, the US space agency explained that the transmission in question was made through a simulated audio channel through which the crew is training.
NASA explained: “There is no emergency on board the International Space Station.”
The entity explained that the aforementioned transmission, which occurred at approximately 5:28 PM CST, inadvertently deviated from the exercise that was in progress.
The agency added that with these types of activities, “crew members and ground teams are training for different scenarios in space that are not related to a real emergency.”
