Today, the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) updated its list of destinations with the highest travel risk in the middle of the pandemic, and that included Puerto Rico.

The agency is located on the island fourth level Transmission, which is the highest in the measure and which recommends that travelers not come to Puerto Rico or be fully vaccinated to do so.

Puerto Rico was at level 3, which represents a “high” risk of transmission, and went to “very high”.

Six other destinations have been added to the list, namely: Azerbaijan, Estonia, Guam, Macedonia, Saint Lucia and Switzerland.

The CDC puts them at Level 4 as those places that have had more than 500 cases of the virus per 100,000 residents in the past 28 days.
