(CNN) – Stephanie Grisham, the former White House press secretary who worked for Donald Trump for more than five years, says she now fears four more years with Trump at the White House.
“I am afraid he will contest the presidential election in 2024,” said Grisham, who also served as secretary general of the Eastern Division. In an interview with ABC’s “Good Morning America” this Monday, his memoir, scheduled for release this week, reads, “I will take your questions now,” Grisham said. [Trump] Be fit for the job. “
Did George Stephanopoulos contribute to the White House’s culture of ordinary dishonesty?
“Now as much as I can, I need to instruct the public about behaviors within the White House because it looks like he will run in 2024,” Grisham said.
Grisham said Trump’s second term would mark a president driven by “revenge” from his political opponents.
“He probably has some pretty tough policies,” he added, adding that another presidential term represents less concern about re-election and more daring opportunities to put forward a policy designed by the Trump platform.
When asked why he is running now, Grisham changed his mind after spending time working in the West after being loyal to Trump for many years.
“I think it gave voice to a lot of people who felt forgotten, but I think a lot of us, including myself, entered the White House and were intoxicated with power,” Grisham said. “We are not thinking about serving the country anymore. It’s about survival.”
As Melania Trump’s former general secretary, Grisham spoke about the former First Lady, including the nickname “Rapunzel”, in response to Melania Trump’s rare departure from the private White House.
“He didn’t want to go out. He stayed upstairs a lot,” Grisham said, writing about the first woman’s home life in the book.
In a statement to CNN, Melania Trump’s spokeswoman dismissed Grisham: “The author is actively trying to tarnish her reputation by manipulating and distorting the truth about Ms Trump. Grisham is a confusing and deceptive person.”
